  1. Notes about unarcing DesTerm V2.00
  2. ----------------------------------

  4. The DesTerm 128 V2.00 release package consists of five files:
  5.  
  6. DES200_1.SFX
  7. DES200_2.SFX
  8. DES200_3.SFX
  9. DES200_4.SFX
  10. DESNOTES.TXT
  11.  
  12. If you do not have all of these files, you do not have the complete 
  13. distribution package.  If this is so, you should find out who uploaded the
  14. files you do have and ask them to add the rest!
  15.  
  16. To extract the files, simply load each one into memory (128 mode is best)
  17. and type RUN.  If you have a 1541 disk drive, you will need two disks --
  18. extract DES200_1.SFX and DES200_2.SFX to the first disk, and the other files
  19. to the second.  1581 and 1571 users need only 1 disk, and all the .SFX files
  20. can be extracted in order.

  22. For some reason unknown to me, the file 'FILETYPE CHANGER' in DES200_2.SFX
  23. reports a CRC ERROR when extracting.  The file is perfectly ok and this
  24. should not be a cause for alarm.  If any other files are reported with
  25. errors, then there is a problem.
  26.  
  27. After all the files have been extracted, execute the CHECK CRC program that
  28. has been supplied.  This is a small program to verify that the vital parts
  29. of the package are ok.  All files should be ok.

  31. DISTRIBUTION
  32. ------------

  34.      You are free to upload these files to BBSes as long as the following
  35. conditions are met:
  36.  
  37. 1)  Do not upload any of these files to any of the large PAY services (ie
  38.     GENIE, COMPUSERVE, QLINK, BIX etc).  I (or a designated person) will
  39.     upload to these systems.
  40.  
  41. 2)  All of the five files MUST be uploaded.  The five files must be in the same 
  42.     directory, and some indication made that all 5 need to be fetched.
  43.  
  44. 3)  The files must be uploaded in the original format.  DO NOT re-archive
  45.     the contents.  The .SFX format works well as any -- don't play with it!
